Frequently asked.
Common questions about Flight Check, deck handling, and which AI tool to use for what.
Is Flight Check free?
Yes. The web tool at flightcheck.ai is free to use, and the underlying skill is MIT-licensed and free to install in your own AI tool. There's no signup, no card, no usage tier.
What happens to my deck?
When you use the web tool: your deck is parsed in your browser, then the extracted text and rendered slide images are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. Analyst Academy doesn't store decks, content, or results. Anthropic's standard API policy may retain inputs for up to 30 days. Full details in our Privacy & Terms.
For sensitive or client decks, what's the best option?
Install Flight Check directly in your own AI tool — your deck stays inside your own session and never passes through our servers. Three native install paths are available (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini), plus paste-in instructions for Copilot, Perplexity, Cursor, and others.
How accurate is it?
Flight Check is an AI co-pilot, not a substitute for your own judgment. It catches a lot of the common analyst mistakes (fake sources, inconsistent math, AI filler, missing context) but it can miss real issues and occasionally flag things that aren't problems. Always verify findings against the source deck before acting on them.
Which AI gives the best results?
All three native installs (Claude, ChatGPT Custom GPT, Gemini Gem) work well when given a PDF export of your deck — vision-enabled models can review the actual slide visuals, not just the text. The web tool runs on Claude. Differences between models are small for this task; pick whichever one you already use day-to-day.
What kinds of decks is this best for?
Flight Check is built for business decks: consulting decks, investor updates, strategy reviews, executive briefings, internal memos in slide form, and any presentation where you'll be on the hook for the claims and data inside. It's less useful for pure design portfolios or talks that lean heavily on visuals over substance.
